>> The Story In Brief

In the 2400th century [multiverse re-expansion IV], a small creature became lost as he took the interplanetary railroad from Alpha Centauri to the northern spacial reaches of Sirius.
SunSprite Stitchlingkind was his name.

It is your task, as Divine Being, to guide him through the many perils conjured up in his zero-g affected mind, and catch the last ship...er, boat, home.

Pass through nine different vortexes (remnants of some past solar system vectorized in the last collapse) to reach your destination.

Requires an OpenGL compliant graphics card, btw.

Or else you'll see black triangles dancing around.

It didn't work on my own computer but it actually ran at school (while your 3d demo did not!). Very cool game, I love the sounds and the graphics are very neat for a 3D fenix game. Oh and the gameplay is fine too!

Nice engine... although the graphics didn't blow me away. The texturing on the guy was... well. But I liked the background graphics, and I only found one bug (the camera could be rotated 360 degrees when the guy fell off a platform), but I found the gameplay a little... I'm not sure. I can't put my finger on it, but the gameplay didn't blow me away either.

...nonexistant? ;)
It is pretty much a tech test.
That "bug" was intentional, to give the effect of falling into space. I won't mention the bugs you didn't notice... :)

This surprised me in a positive way, as I had to this point absolutely no idea that Fenix could handle 3D.

The game ran really smoothly on my computer, and the graphics looked pretty good. And yes, it's pretty obvious that the "falling down" effect is intentional. (And might I add, rather funny to hear the poor guy scream)

The gameplay is a little too slow-paced for my taste though.

Overall, I'm gonna give it a 4 star rating, but that's purely because I'm impressed by the 3D.

The 3d looks good (better than most div/fenix stuff), very impressive for fenix game. Gameplay didn't grip me, but then it's a tech demo so no problems there...' btw, what are these bugs of which you speak?

Thanks everyone for the comments.
some bugs... most are due to me not understanding ODE physics well enough.
-character sometimes slides across the ground without animating.
-can jump from the underside of a platform (ground detection uses the collision sphere). also from cannon balls as there is no specific object detection.
-Model can take the long way round when it rotates to the movement direction. occasionally it rotates twice.
-can sink into moving platforms when they change direction (as the change is instantaneous not over time)
-scenery flickers when the next level starts

"can sink into moving platforms when they change direction"

-> Couldn't you resolve this by giving the platforms a higher priority. I'm guessing that your character changes his position relative to the platforms, in which case you would have to calculate the position of the platforms first, followed by the character.

"can jump from the underside of a platform (ground detection uses the collision sphere)"

-> Couldn't you check the vertical distance between your character and the platforms upon collision?

I'm not trying to be a smartass, I'm just trying to help. :)

very interesting little game. It reminds me of psychonauts. I would like to see more of this :D
