Hey, I have noticed that in mode7 my sprites seem to hover above the ground a little. This is kind of annoying as it makes texture maps look all screwy. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

You could change the game to justify the floating.

:P No I couldn't. It's an action rpg... with humans. And also a racer, which needs collision maps to make it play right, and floating would be dumb in that sense

There was a .height process local variable in DIV, also m7.height. I'm not sure if this is what you mean.

m7.height is only for m7.id. other processes' height can be changed by changing the predefined local z variable (lower or higher)

Hmm... definitely isn't working for me. I'm using FXC 0.84.

Sprites will always hover a little as they're not able to mold to the ground like models, but also Mode7 is not a real 3D mode, so Fenix basically has to just guess where to put shit. I don't think there's any way to get it to work perfectly.

I remember having this shit in my doom remake. I just set the camera a bit higher to reduce the effect of the floating.

Shadows may help too
