Ohmy, how weak the mighty Dtuchland appeared infront of that little school girl called Australia. Albeit Australia seemed to hold the keys, the goal factory still won. I was so gob smacked how poorly Dtuchland played that I don't remember anything from the match. Given that Chile made Australia look like a bunch of amateurs, after the game I got this feeling I should update my bet for the next game... And ahahahahahaha Spain: you out, boy! I don't think it's as surprising result as everybody keeps saying. The commentators kept talking about an end of an era and questioning whether Spain will now change their gamestyle from Barca's ball control to something else seemed a bit off. Spain isn't playing that game anymore, or is it? Anyhow, Spain got pretty good starts to both halves but then just fell flat on their arses. Chile is starting to look like one of the suprises of this tournament. The match between Chile and Dtuchland decides the group winner and might be a bit exciting. Is it just me or did Alexis Sánchez have a bit of a boner going on pretty much throughout the entire game? That's stamina. Saw only a little of the second half of Cameroon - Croatia but the scoreline might tell everything. Croatia was super happy attacking against a disorganized Cameroon. In Cameroon's defense, one of their players was red carded for violence. Genius stuff or atleast Pepe would be proud. I like Croatia and it's a bit of a shame that the two other teams in this group are Brazil and Mexico. It's an odd group where anybody could advance to knockout stage. I feel like Colombia and Ivory Coast may be the strongest candidates though, and hope they'll play for blood tonight. England is still a bit of a question. They played defensively against Italy and I think they might play every game defensively. But it's not their defense that I would question, it's the attack. It seemed to rely on a few key players invidual talent. Or in other words sheer luck. Counter-attacks. I don't know! Uruguay also didn't play on its level, so this round feels like it's a lot harder to guess. ____________ gay |

seems to be the theme of modern football, most teams relying on a couple of key players, this is how not to manage a team, also the fuckers are paid way to much for what they do. they get paid no matter what, could you say that for many other careers ?? Also it would not hardly surprise me if there's a lot of 'backhanders' in this. where ever there's a lot of money involved you will find that any sacrifice to them is worth a financial gain, look at the current wars! Getting almost political this. We'll yeah, the way they are paid they should know black magic and whatever. Definitely shooting 10 meters over the crossbar should be nearly impossible. It all just comes down to the good old saying: world just isn't fair. But let's not think about it too much, or else: ____________ gay |

Now that Greece and Japan played a draw, Colombia is through to knockout stage regardless of last round and it's looking alright for Ivory Coast as well. Didn't see Colombia's game, only bits. Saw the first 20 minutes of Japan - Greece and thought it wasn't going to be a one goal game. I don't know how it became a zero goal game after that start. Japan pushed and Greece was where they wanted to be, defending and counter-attacking. It's lovely in a sadistic kind of way how well some teams pull that ugly strategy. England might had wanted to be in the same position as Greece was, but they weren't. They had ball control and failed miserably against Uruguay's defense. Well, obviously there was also some bad luck; did Rooney miss two or even three goals just by a tiny bit? And then Uruguay got Suarez back and what did he do? Two frigging goals. OMG. In both England's defense played a bit softly but I guess that's the story behind most goals. England still has a change as long as Italy beats Costa Rica today and Uruguay in a few days. Given that England can win Costa rica that is. It's an interesting group. Given that Italy beats Costa Rica. Costa Rica played well against Uruguay, so I have little doubts about this being a slam dunk for Italy. It's still Italy, so you'll just have to expect them to win. Just like with Spain? Switzerland and France will probably play for group win today. Switzerland is a solid team and played fresh in their opening match. As long as both play their game there will be goals! Happy midsummer's day! ____________ gay |

What a lackluster Italy that was. Just effortless, soft and generally it looked like they just wanted to be done with it and go home do something more important. 11 offsides. Countless mindless or just poorly executed passes. Who does that? It's like they were paid to lose. Costa Rica weren't in trouble at any point and entirely deserved the win. I'm feeling it's Uruguay and Costa Rica that advance to knockout stage out of this group. Italy can bag their bags unless they change everything. Switzerland isn't really a goal happy team. Basically they win games because they let so few in. France on the other hand, oh my God they are truely back! Not a tight game by any means but so much more entertaining to watch as both teams were able to play. With 5 consided goals you can't help but to think that something was off. Switzerland did have to change a centerback 5 minutes in and the defense did a lot of mistakes but France, oh boy, Viva la France! They just did things right. They're too disorganized. Ghana can play with Germany but they had such serious troubles scoring against USA, that I doubt there's any change of a surprise there. Germany is no Spain or Italy. Yeah, B&H is going to score against Nigeria more than Argentina against Iran. The reason is Iran. ____________ gay |

Iran may have just redefined defensive tactics. The match could had ended either way and might I even add deservedly so. I think it took nearly 20 minutes for Argentina's strikers to start passing each other. Even then, there was just too much me me me me. Though they have problems on every part of the field. Germany didn't fly this time but they didn't sunk like some other european mights either. Though the game was played more on Ghana's half, both had their moments and were able to create attacks. Perhaps a little inefficient finishing from Germany and good defending from Ghana kept the match even. Curiously enough, this is another match where Ghana conceded a late match cornerkick and lost points. Did not see Nigeria's victory but whaaaat?! Nigeria is looking real good to advance to knockout stage now. Ah yes, moments before Nigeria scored, Bosnia & Herzegovina was denied a goal because of offside: Impossible to tell, right?
